We Need Your Help.

Love City FC will be competing in the 3rd division pre-professional Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL) this summer. However, we are putting together the leadership and ownership group to join the 2nd division WPSL Pro league for their inaugural 2027 season. Doing so while being aligned with the ongoing topflight franchise effort and ownership group will ensure that the future of women's soccer in Philadelphia is rooted in the community.

While we continue our discussions with high net worth individuals and venture capital firms, we need your help to meet the upcoming league payment deadlines and cover some basic operational costs. Additionally, the more we can raise this way, the more control we will be able to maintain as we bring on larger investors.

Meet the Team

Co-founder

Jami Dansingburg

A lifelong advocate for gender equity in sports, Jami has spent over a decade working in Philadelphia to build higher level soccer programs for girls and women in the city.

Dansingburg was a standout goalkeeper at perennial NCAA DIII powerhouse William Smith College where she helped the program to two undefeated regular seasons and a trip to the national semi-finals. She went on to coach collegiately at Washington & Lee University, and her alma before being named Head Coach at Hartwick College.

In Oneonta, she was brought on as the Assistant Director of the National Soccer Hall of Fame where she saw the organization through it's transition and fundraise for the new $7.2 million museum and soccer complex. While there she managed numerous international and pro soccer events.

For the last decade, Jami has worked in team sales and as the COO of Icarus Football where she helped this startup custom soccer uniform company grow from the owner's basement to a multi-million dollar global company.

Co-founder

Katie Van Aken

Katie organized and entered amateur women's soccer teams in local CASA and Tri-County leagues in 2025 after completing her MBA from the Football Business Academy in London.

She is the Commissioner and Advisory Board Member for the CASA Philly soccer leagues, an assistant coach at her alma mater Haverford College and volunteers her time with SafeHub Philly (a program in Kensington utilizing soccer as a vehicle for social change.)

Van Aken holds a PHD in Materials Engineering from Drexel University. She extended this passion as host of the "Impact Factor" podcast interviewing other PHD candidates in their educational and career journeys within the field.

Her passion for building opportunities for girls and women in the City of Philadelphia is the foundation from which Love City FC was born and continues to rise.

Thomas King

King is the VP of Motion Services for Adcettera, a global marketing company based in Houston. Here he became a passionate supporter of the Houston MLS and NWSL teams.

As a native of Ireland, he has dreamed of someday building a soccer club brand from the ground up. Love City has brought him on as a partner to lead the branding, marketing, media, merchandising and storytelling for the club. His shared vision to build a community club that transcends the game to celebrate the diverse culture of Philadelphia coincides with a move to NYC this month.

King's extensive network of designers, social marketers, influencers, videographers and photographers will soon elevate the Love City brand and portfolio of investors to the next level.
